Although study results differ with regard to the actual attention span of adult learners, an experienced educator knows when it’s time to vary the pace or introduce interactive teaching techniques.
Clickers can be effectively introduced at key points in a lecture to assess comprehension, stimulate discussion, and re-engage the students. Clickers are an effective method of increasing active learning.
