Abstract

Approximately 90 students in three sections of SBS 385 Environmental History of California collaborated in small groups to organize their review and discussion of the CSUMB Master Plan with a focus on the Sustainability Commons. The CSUMB Campus Planner, Matt McCluney, and Environmental Studies faculty member Hester Parker provided each class with a presentation on the Master Plan and the Sustainability Commons site. Students brainstormed project ideas, conducted research on CSUMB peer and benchmark campuses related to sustainability initiatives, and prepared White Papers to present their project ideas. The following report is a compilation of these project ideas.
