About
Dr. Yong Lao received his Ph.D. in Geography from Ohio State University in 1993. His specialty is Geographic Information Systems (GIS), quantitative research methods, transportation planning, economic geography, geography of China and East Asia. Dr. Lao has collaborated with many government agencies and businesses to work on a wide range GIS mapping and spatial analysis projects, such as bus line evaluation, census data analysis, hazardous material shipping, childcare facility selection, airline hub location and express delivery, and ATM network planning.
