Roshini Ramachandran is Assistant Professor of Chemistry at California State University, Monterey Bay. Her materials chemistry research laboratory utilizes inorganic chemistry and nanotechnology to make novel materials that have interesting surface structures. These materials have cool properties (e.g. color changing) that aim to solve current issues in energy, efficiency, and imaging.

Prior to this, she was the Assistant Director of Curricular Initiatives at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She received postdoctoral training at UCLA and completed her Ph.D in Chemistry from The University of Georgia (UGA). Her research background focuses on the synthesis of functional inorganic nanomaterials for applications in defense, nanomedicine, and energy storage.
