About
Dr. Kamilah Majied is a mental health therapist, educator, researcher, author, and internationally engaged consultant on building inclusivity and equity using meditative practices. Dr. Majied enjoys engaging people in experiencing wonder, humor, and insight through transforming oppressive patterns and deepening relationships toward ever-improving individual, organizational, and communal wellness. She is a Professor of Social Work at California State University, Monterey Bay. Dr. Majied uses meditative practices to advance mental health and enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion leadership development. She is the author of multiple scholarly and secular publications and book chapters as well as a new book entitled Joyfully Just: Black Wisdom and Buddhist Insights for Liberated Living.
