About
Jennifer Kuan is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Economics at California State University Monterey Bay. She earned a PhD from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and currently studies the role of member nonprofits in structuring innovative industries, including in the history of venture capital and in the promotion of publicly-funded R&D in the semiconductor industry. Prior to CSUMB, Dr. Kuan was a researcher at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and has a decade of industry experience as an engineer in manufacturing at Apple and Solectron.
